Loving our neighbors in practical ways.
We believe the church is called not only to gather together, but also to go out and serve the community God has placed around us. At Mabelvale Methodist Church, we want to be a church that pays attention to the needs of our neighbors and looks for practical ways to share the love of Jesus.
One place we have begun doing that is through our relationship with Mabelvale Elementary School. Through donations of school supplies and other opportunities to help as needs arise, we seek to encourage and support the students, teachers, and staff who serve families in our community.
Our community outreach is still growing. We don't have every program figured out, but we want to keep asking a simple question:
“Where is God already at work, and how can we join Him?”
Sometimes serving may mean collecting supplies. Sometimes it may mean meeting a practical need, encouraging a teacher, helping a neighbor, or simply showing up when someone needs us.
We want Mabelvale Methodist Church to be known as a church that loves its neighbors not only with words, but through acts of mercy, generosity, and service.
