Sharing the love and hope of Jesus beyond our walls.
At Mabelvale Methodist Church, we believe followers of Jesus are called to notice those who are hurting, lonely, or easily overlooked. One phrase that helps guide our approach to ministry is:
“Run to the sound of the pain.”
Rather than waiting for people who are hurting to find their way to us, we want to go where people need the presence, compassion, and hope of Christ.
As part of that commitment, Pastor John regularly visits a local nursing and rehabilitation facility, where he shares Scripture, leads residents in familiar hymns, prays with them, and offers Christian encouragement and fellowship.
This ministry is still growing, and we would love to see others become part of it. You don't have to preach or lead a service to make a difference. Sometimes ministry looks like singing a hymn, praying with someone, listening to their story, or simply being present with someone who may be lonely.
Through this ministry, we seek to practice the works of mercy and carry the love of Christ beyond the walls of our church and into our community.
